Every time I'm around my parents and two of my siblings I feel a very strong sense of ANGER!! I want to tell them how much I hate them and and how I'll resent them for the rest of my life. I am reminded of how much all of them betrayed me and how much I don't want them in my life anymore. When will this anger subside? I just want things to get better but the pain is so deep. Things are too raw and so recent that the idea of forgiveness is foreign to me.

Hi Jennifer ~ How did they betray you? Can you talk a little about it here? If not, you can message me or something. I'm just curious why you're so angry!

Whether we like it or not, sometimes our families are toxic to us. Usually it's just one member of the family or maybe 2 -- but the whole family? That's why I'm curious as to what happened.

It sounds like you need to talk with a therapist about this. You need to deal with the anger in the appropriate way before you're going to get rid of it. Your therapist can help you with that.

I hope to hear more from you. God bless & take care. Hugs, Lee

Hello, Jenn1fer82. Not everyone sees the benefit of forgiveness. It has helped me deal with anger and resentment.
