good question. Sometimes when depressed I can't even force myself to do things... So I don't push it too much. But I do find also that accomplishing things if I can (even though I may not feel like it) makes me feel better.

It depends upon how low I am in that particular moment. Sometimes, I can still push myself to clean anyway (whether I want to or not) or go for a walk, whatever, because it has helped me in the past & currently needs to be done. In my really dark times, I am still unable to find some motivation to get out of bed ~ and I allow myself to lie there, hiding from reality. Imo, it depends upon how low you really are. You CAN push yourself....unless you're really, really low. And those are times when you allow yourself time to just "be" and get off of your back for being "lazy" or whatever. Hope that helps you! Best wishes....
