Feel free to move this; I wasn't sure where to put it.
Okay. So this week the only appt I have is with my T, which is tomorrow. I'm not stressed about that except that I get about an hr with her which is not nearly enough time to cover all that I want to. Next week: one day I see my internist for the first time (full exam, 300 questions, etc.)--I have no clue what to expect from him so I am nervous. The very next day I see my Sleep Dr and see what he's concluded from the month-long data of my sleep patterns (I take the machine back that same morning, hopefully I'll have the one I'll be using soon after, I don't want to go without one---very physically draining). I'm 95% certain he'll say Sleep Apnea, as he's suspected. Just the settings for the machine, etc., I don't know about. So even though I sort of know what to expect, I'm still nervous. (I have GAD), I don't have to have a reason to be anxious, ![]() I'd say the biggest stressor for me is my PMS. My period comes in about a week, so with each day closer my hormones are more out of control. Last month was in a word: horror. I became so agitated/anxious/wanting to crawl out of my skin that I seriously considered calling an ambulance. I took my Xanax and it calmed me, thankfully. My P-doc told me before I ever saw my Sleep Dr. that my sleep issues were strongly affecting my anxiety/Panic attacks. I have been sleeping with a mask/machine for two weeks, and already I see a significant difference. BUT, the PMS fatigue is creeping in, which is debilitating, and I think in its own way contributes to my anxiety. I am hoping against hope my sleep has improved enough that when my period arrives it won't be as bad this time, I won't be a basketcase for three days (after that I'm calmer for the duration). I realize I'm worrying in advance, but there's a reason they say learn from history. So I'm not going to drink any soft drinks, caffeine (even though that hasn't helped before), and try to be active up until then. I just keep thinking how next week--and it's at the end of next week!--I've got these appts that are sort of, up-in-the-air to me (what will the Internist think is going on? What will Sleep Dr think? Will he think something else is going on as well? It has been years since anything has been a "sure thing" diagnosis-wise). It's really hard to stay in the moment when you're home alone til the evening and you can't drive, and tv makes you dizzy (one of my meds or PMS, not sure), and all you want to do is sleep cause your poor brain and body has lacked sufficient rest for months. Any suggestions, advice would be appreciated. Thank you. ![]()

I have noticed that my BPD issues increase greatly at that time of the month. One thing that seems to help is STAY BUSY. If you don't give yourself time to think and obsess about it, it doesn't seem as bad.

I would love to, but for example right now---my sleep has been fragmented. I just took a 2-hr nap and I feel like I've taken a muscle relaxer. My brain is alert, my body....so so tired. I feel like I'm dragging a ship anchor around with me everywhere I go. I checked my sleep machine when I woke up---I'd definitely stopped breathing bcause the pressure was higher. I just want relief.... ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hi Live though this, I use the machine also, and suffer with more anxiety off and on. I just wanted to let you know your not alone. The machine will definitely make a difference in how you feel. I take lorazapan, I think its called. Lasts longer then Zanax.
