How do you deal with the emotion distress mixed with frustration, rage and distress? I get very suicidal when these sort of emotions come. Music helps... What do you do to deal with it? Suicide is NOT a option. But I pray to God that he kills me everyday. HELP!

Is life worth living? Will it get better and brighter.. I hope so. The desire to go to heaven and other stuff keeps me going. HELP!

WHY don't you want to go on meds for the depression? It's like saying you won't take an antibiotic for an infection!

I've been on antidepressants for probably 40 years. Some have given me side effects, but most have not. Maybe I'm just lucky -- but most side effects go away anyway. You can handle them for a little while until they just go away. Why don't you want meds? They take CARE of the depression once the right dosage is determined, and usually that's right off the bat. And now you don't have to wait as long as you used to for them to take effect. It used to be that you had to wait 6 wks. Most of them take effect much sooner now.

So how come you don't want to be on meds? They sure take care of the depression problem.

Drugs and alcohol, and more recently I've been trying 'legit' psych med prescriptions would be how I've tried to deal with it. But meds could be helpful...if you're worried about anti-depressants there are other types than say SSRIs otherwise there are other treatments like therapy and counseling
