I was wondering if there was any link to depression and being paranoid? Or am I off base at all?

Why would you want to "link" to that? You are off base!

Well, often "depression and anxiety" go hand in hand. So I can see how someone might wonder if parinoia is involved. Sometimes if a person gets a better handle on managing "anxiety" better they find they have "less" depression.
