I know I should just accept I'm incompetent, and worthless, and whatever happens happens; I don't know why I worry so much. I'm too nervous, and worried that I've exhausted myself. I don't want feel emotions or exhort myself in any way, because I hurt, all over... But, I don't feel like I have the right to be Depressed, because I'm such a burden on everyone already.

You are of value. If you don't think you are, then that's just your depression talking!

Are you seeing a psychiatrist or a therapist? You need someone to give you some professional support, along with our giving you support.

I'm so sorry you're hurting. You do deserve to feel better. Okay?

Yes Existential Bear: I'd say that's a pretty accurate description of major depression & anxiety disorder. That's my diagnosis too & what you've described is pretty much the way I feel most of the time. I've read that major depression combined with anxiety disorder is worse than both of these conditions alone. I agree, although I've always had both, so I guess I wouldn't really know what it would be like to have just one or the other.

Anyway, PsychCentral is a great place to be. You'll find many supportive people here. Keep posting... and best wishes to you!

Well, you have already proven that you "can" make some gains in your life. You did finish your education on line. How about seeing if you can further your education online too? Maybe eventually you could get a job with your computer, work out of home, you never know, that is wave of the future now.

It sounds like you were doing better when you took on the challenge worked on it and completed. If you did that you are not stupid. It's amazing how doing "positive" things, making small progress can help so much with the things that are challenging you.

Welcome to PC by the way, keep sharing and meeting others here that can be supportive to you.
