How come most feelings I have are usually negative/dark? I rarely feel "good". Its almost like its foreign for me to feel good..

Perhaps you need to track your moods. When you are awake, every fifteen minutes write down what your mood is and what you are doing. Perhaps after doing this for a few days you can get a grasp of what exactly is going on.

InfiniteSadness, have you consulted a psychiatrist or therapist? I see you have been on PC for quite some time so I'm sure you know that we can't diagnos but only give our opinion. You sound depressed. I would see a doctor and see if they can't help you feel better.

Or proof that you just haven't seen someone that you've clicked with.

Or a proof that doctors can help you only so much and you gotta find the spark in yourself. Or elsewhere. Spirituality or whatever. If psychiatry failed you, it shows how flawed psychiatry is. Not how flawed YOU are.

Here. Triggering, longish... but gets point across

Even if some one cooperates and works with their pdoc, it can take years before an effective treatment program is established. Now that assumes one is cooperative. Imagine how long it could take if one was not. Just saying, not trying to imply. Everyone is different and we don't all fit in neat little boxes.

what if the doc is not cooperative? After all they are there for us, not the other way around.

I think sometimes the problem is one is cooperative. Doc says take this, patient takes it. Doc say you are doomed, patient complies with this prediction. And this happens. I been suggested by shrink to drop out of uni. I knew friends who been told they will never be able to work or live normaly. Should one be cooperative in this case and throw away their life, just cause shrink said so?
