I'm sorry to hear that Star. I do know how that feels. I suffered from perfectionism when I was a teenager. Now, I just try to accept me for who I am at that moment in time. I make mistakes, I'm human, but are they truly mistakes if we learn from them?
Thanks for this!

If your perfect, you are not human and life will be very dull. Think of perfect as being a carbon copy. You want to be you, not a copy of some thing else.

Thank you for commenting. I struggle with this from time to time each week. lol
I have sayings that keep me on track, but I forgot them for a few days.
One saying is "Perfectionism is like stacking marbles" That one helps for some reason. Also "Only Jesus is or will ever be perfect I am not God". That helps too. Ok my mind is more at ease. I still want perfect, but no matter what i do it won't happen. I have to accept that.
Thanks for this!

I TOTALLY understand!!!! I feel like such a burden and it doesn't help that I have been making bad situations worse, unintentionally

perfectionism is a matter of perception
do not complicate your life with elusive chase
I became less obsessed with it when realized there is no winning
