Every time something goes wrong in my life, I handle it in the whiniest, greediest, most self-centered way.

If it's true that people show their true character in times of crisis, then it's pretty clear that I'm a rotten person who wants to drag everyone else down with her. It's like I'm tested and I keep failing, over and over and over.

Just now, I left behind a glove at my parents house. When I discovered it was missing, I drove all the way back and posed a huge inconvenience to my parents trying to search for it.

Gee, no wonder no one would want to be my friend. I'm going to end up alone if I keep alienating everyone around me. I feel toxic, and I'll always be toxic because I'm too selfish to try to change.

I am confused as to how it inconvenience your parents for you to drive all the way back to their house to find it, sound more like an inconvenience to you. Perhaps people are accusing you of being greedy, whiny, self-centered ect but its not actually the case...or do you just feel that way about yourself on your own?

Somehow I doubt you're a bad person.

But yet here you are talking about it, so you must want to change at least at some level. It's not going to be an easy road, but admitting you have a problem is the first step to doing something about it. Don't give up on making the improvements in yourself that you want!

Even if you believe yourself to be all that, atleast you aren't in denial.
You're accepting your flaws, I guess thats when we start moving towards our own betterment.

If you know your problems, you know your solutions.
Don't be too harsh on yourself

I agree just by you talking about proves that you recognize the problem and are aware of it. Maybe next time when you find yourself in a similar situation, try to prevent it from going where you dont want it to.

Don't use sweets, coffee. This will help to stabilize mind.
You should start meditating every day for 15 mins instead. Just simple breath in / breath out. And to keep your mind on air flow.

It might sound crazy, but try this.
All negative personality aspects appear then you totally submerged in thought, that you are your mind. Your main goal is to separate mind form yourself. When you will find this distinction place, lot of bad qualities will subside.
