My issue is pretty basic, but doesn't seem like depression. I am not sad or suicidal, not really. I do tend to get very emotional rather easily, and this usually manifests as anger and frustration. I feel trapped, or stuck most of the time, like I am incapable of making my life move forward.
My biggest problem is I cannot stay focused on anything long enough to get anywhere with it and more importantly the things I used to enjoy doing with a deep passion now seem like work and provide me with no joy whatsoever. The creative spark, or energy I used to have with these activities seems dead. All of the above combined, makes my life seem utterly empty as if I am just ticking the days away until my demise. Any thoughts? |

Kaliope is right, it does sounds very similar to what I feel--which is mainly a sort of empty hollowness instead of emotions. Being tired and numb is definitely big signs. If it starts to affect your sleeping, working, and eating cycles then it means that it's getting extremely serious and you should definitely try to see someone. But yes, welcome to the forums

My pdoc's check up questions involve, how's your concentration, irritability, any? Any troubles enjoying the things you normally enjoy?
How's your eating habits? Any troubles falling asleep or staying asleep? And a few more questions... Yep, could be a sign of a depressed state of mind. Don't need to have sui thoughts, to suffer from depression. From there, he'd ask, if I'm still in therapy. I've probably only got this down pat, been going several times a year, as his patient, for past five years. There's my thoughts, with knowledge, what steps are you considering, to overcome this loss of Joy? Sent from my LG-MS910 using Tapatalk 2 |
