Hi All

My second day here on pc. I made a decision yesterday to try and start being a bit more positive....i'm trying hard here...stood up feeling good and okay this morning...but i can feel the blues coming down on me again...cold and rainy day here...just generally feeling very down and alone...missing the days where i could "seize the day"

Anyway, hope everyone has a fab day!

A step in the right direction. Whenever I feel down I like to listen to sad music (Lana Del Rey is my go to) and sing along. I find that it helps expel my emotions. Keep your head up and try to look for the beauty in everyday things, it might cheer you up. For example, I find beauty in the rain because it washes the Earth clean. Have a fab day as well, I hope you find a way to stay positive!

Just a note from your host...

Research has shown that people who actively participate in online support communities like this one gain more from the experience and feel better.

If you want to make the most of your time with us, participate! Make some new friends. Reach out and ask for help. Learn more about your condition. And ask for treatment options that have helped others.

While you're also welcomed to sit in the background and say little, just keep in mind that simply reading others' comments and thoughts isn't likely to be as helpful as becoming an active participant in your recovery.

Best,
DocJohn
Hello, bubblyflower. Being more positive is good. Please keep on posting. Let us know how you are doing and what we can do to be more supportive.

I wish you well.

Thanks glok, a comment here and there and the knowing that someone is reading already helps. It's also quite informative reading other people's stories and experiences and it certainly makes one realise that there's a lot of people suffering and you never truly have to feel alone and it's true that in participating that feeling somewhat lifts your spirit.

While it's not too often I wake up depressed, I do wake up horribly angry..........ALOT! How can I be mad if nothing has happened yet?
