I'm REALLY angry right now. My car was just hit by another girl in her car. No major damage, but a dent none the less. I just bought this car maybe 4 months ago in nearly perfect condition. She stopped we exchanged some words, said she'd get her info from her car, then as soon as I found paper to jot down some info, SHE DROVE OFF. I only got half of her plate number. Reported it, but not much they can do.

I'm so mad at her that she did that to me. I'm also so mad at myself that I didn't get her full plate. I can't stop thinking about it for a second. I'm fuming! Thoughts of revenge running through my head.

How do I chill??

(((coyote)))

Wow....I am so sorry to hear this. I can't believe that she drove off!! I would be angry as well. Unfortunately this is what insurance is for. You had no idea that she would do that so it isn't your fault. I know that this doesn't really help so I'll just give you (((hugs))) from afar. At least you were not hurt.
Thanks for this!

Hi coyote, I'm sorry you had that happen to you.........but it's just really good that you weren't injured
Your safety is worth way more than a dent!! And why be mad at yourself?? Really??
You had every right to assume that you were going to be able to settle things with her/the insurance company as she said she was getting her paperwork. Can't go around assuming people are lying without some real evidence, so nothing whatsoever wrong with you not rushing to get her number.
And her...........well maybe she didn't have insurance, maybe she shouldn't have been driving the car, maybe she couldn't afford to have it go through the insurance..........not that any of those things makes it OK for her to just take off.......but no changing it now, and she's done enough damage to your car without letting it impact on you personally/the way you're feeling too. Just remember that fortunately not everyone is like that, and real good that you're OK/weren't injured!!!!

She probably an uninsured driver. That is why she took off. Don't let your anger poison you.
Thanks for this!

I don't blame you for being mad. But remember your anger only hurts you and not her. I'm sorry you weren't able to get her plate number.

I recently had a dent put in my new car, but it was by my husband who wasn't watching where he was backing. Needless to say, I didn't talk to him for two day.
