I need some advice. I have been feeling a frustration mixed with indifferent feeling lately... I'm usually the type to care about others. How do others cope with these feelings?

Depression is marked by a blah feeling of not caring or not being involved in life. I try to keep out of the dumps by keep lifting myself up. I watch my diet to keep out sugar and carbs that are quick burns, a little high and then crashing blood sugar levels. I do yoga and exercises, and meditate to overcome the chatter that fills my head at times.

Have you considered a psych doc prescribing meds that might help?

Glad you are back posting again. In fact you have 5 posts so your posts will now appear without any delay and you can go in any of the chat rooms, some of which have a moderated program. http://forums.psychcentral.com/calendar.php

What have you tried that helped even a little?

Best to withdraw from the situation you are feeling frustrated with, and give yourself some space to recover. Take a trip, or stay home alone for a day or two.

My search for permanent mania is as fruitless as my search for someplace with good weather all the time!
