This morning I went out early to get coffee and noticed my relatively new car not shifting properly. I took it in and found out that rats had chewed some main cable thing that is going to cost $1500. I live on a University campus and they are responsible for pest control, but I bet they will come up with some low down dirty way to get out of accepting liability. Really pissed off!

I don't blame you for being angry and I hope that you are able to get the University to pay for the damage. I hope you will let us know how it turns out for you.

I live in the desert here, and camp out all the time. The Rats love getting under my hood. They ran off with all the insulation, for their nests. I am lucky they did not chew through some thing more important.

Your anger is justified, that would make anyone angry. I wouldn't think you'll get anything from the university as there is probably a sign somewhere saying that you park at your own risk. Not sure if car insurance will pay for that but would be worth asking.
