One thought leads to another until I am bound up. It hurts physically . It hurts me!

Sorry to hear that

Here's a positive: Those thoughts are WRONG.

Even if there happened to be a grain of truth there somewhere, if the tone of those thoughts is self-deprecating, then it's wrong. Then they're not on your side! Just know that

And if you're now thinking, 'This person can't be right!' - Yes, I can, and I am!!!

You deserve better!!! You deserve nothing but positive encouraging and uplifting thoughts - though I completely understand that you may not always be able to push the negative away. It's hard work and very tiring, at times impossible - you deserve a break!!!

Just know that those negative thoughts are wrong!

Hang in there
Thanks for this!

Some thoughts do this, but they have to start somewhere - any chance you can trace back to what caused it? The cause might not have been such a big deal after all or then again it might have been but perhaps you can start again and this time have a more constructive set of thoughts. It can work for although sometimes you have to think about to for a long time.

When you catch yourself thinking a negative thought, can you replace it with a positive one and stop the train of negative thoughts? It might be a small step, but perhaps it is a start.

I seriously know what to do about this. See this post and follow the instructions for "SNAP CLUB"

http://forums.psychcentral.com/depre...n-escaped.html

This will use the things you are doing in your everyday life to heal you and strengthen you. You start with tiny, tiny, tiny decisions you make every day. After practicing for a while, you'll find that you DO have the power to stop those obtrusive, repetitive thoughts and feelings that are torturing you.

I could have snapped my fingers today when I decided to take a shower, get dressed, go to the grocery store, make lunch, etc. sounds good. I will try.
