I am sorry you feel like this. Will the weekend provide a few days of rest and recovery for you?

I don't know what you are struggling but think that we have good and bad moments. We are not perfect machines. Don't blame yourself for being down now. Try to stand up again when you are ready. Take a time to recover.

Hugs!

I know the feeling when I look at a dozen pages in need of revision. Ever tried flash fiction?

overload, you've been working too long and hard, it could cause a breakdown so please do something relaxing to fix it.
Thanks for this!

No what is flash fiction? And thank you for the reply. I used to edit a regional poetry journal with my ex wife. "in need of revision" was a familiar and comforting phrase. But of course I mourn the loss of that relationship...

Thanks for the kind words folks. After the anxiety of the work week, the depression is looming over me. Can't escape this cycle....

You're welcome, and it's always nice to meet someone who loves writing whether it's poetry or novels. I'm not sure if you're talking about the poetry or the woman...

Anyway, flash fiction is fiction under 1,000 words. A very, very short story. When I'm feeling stuck, it helps me focus on something new for a few days or a few weeks and sample a wide range of topics without committing to a serious project. I thought it might be something to try.
Thanks for this!

Yes I am on meds, Doc just upped my dosage. I read that sometimes it gets worse before you acclimate..hopefully that is all it is. Being stuck inside with winter weather is not helping. I need to be outdoors to feel normal.

So you are dealing with a broken heart? I'm sorry. It's one of the most upsetting situations to face.
Be patience and think that each day you survive it will be better.

I hope you feel better soon, FactoryPoet. Can't wait for winter to be over myself, especially looking forward to the longer daylight hours!
