I can't even look at it. Last night I had insomnia for 5 hours and all I was doing was thinking about how lonely I am and how my anxiety/insecurity brought me here. I thought about the few relationship opportunities I've had and how I blew them because I thought I just wasn't good enough. How can I put another person through all this self doubt and need, Blah, blah, blah. Tossing and turning I thought how nice and calming it would be to smell her hair and skin - not to be. The mattress has become like sleeping on pins and needles, I can't get no peace and it's getting late in the night my friend. I walk around like a zombie in the day - tired and dead. I need to lay down but I can't go in that room - it's where the voices scream at you.

I'm sorry you're not able to sleep, nor like your bedroom. Maybe rearranging the furniture or giving the room a new coat of paint might make you feel better. If those aren't an option, maybe just some clean new bedsheets and all might work.

Make changes in your room. Make it more relaxing and enjoyable. You can find so many great stuff and change it 100%. It is important that we have a nice place to sleep. Also, try to think positive about things and if you have problems with sleeping try some relaxing music or anything what can make you feel good.

I have empathy for you as I have chronic insomnia. Tried everything, meds, good sleep hygiene, nothing does it. It has a life of its own and its a symptom.

Last night I had my first better night in a while (6 hrs). I ate very well yesterday and no night snack, was out skiing in the am, and out again in the aft with my SO. I guess I didn't have the time to worry too much. I also decided to eliminate one activity I was obsessing about.

Maybe this can help.

Have a nice day!

I know exactly how you feel. There was a time I looked at my bed and all I could see was anxiety. A friend told me about burning sage (smudging) your house or room. I purchased loose leaf sage and followed the instructions. Almost immediately I noticed a difference and the negative energy was gone. I did it again a few weeks later but concentrated on my bed. Things have improved a lot.
