I'm going to keep this short, but my life has been really stressful lately. My OCD makes me crazy, and dealing with the kittens (for those who don't know, my female cat got pregnant when she got outside before we could fix her), who are very wild (and adorable), it's all too much sometimes. On top of everything, my bed is covered in so much stuff, I don't even have room for me, really. I'm on it right now, but I'm pushed to the very edge. When I sleep, it's very uncomfortable and I'm in danger of falling off. If that happens, OCD issues big time. My boyfriend and I planned to do something about it, but then I was hit with vertigo, and couldn't fully function. I'm better (not perfect) now, but I've got things to do, *and* I've started my period. So didn't need that. I thought of going out to my car and sleep, but my boyfriend is worried the neighbors will see. First of all, that's not likely. It's nighttime and the seat would be down. Two, who cares? I see my pdoc today. Guess I'll discuss it with him, but really, nothing to be done until I can get the outside of my room cleaned up, so we can get some bins to put the stuff in, and not buy more. I can't even find peace in my bed. This is ridiculous!

i hope you can find the time to clean your bed. take it one step at a time, baby steps, and you'll find it's easier than you thought.

Thank you. I know I can handle what's on the bed. It might take a couple of days, but I'll get it done. I just have to get my boyfriend to clear some space for me to put it when I move it. It's just that there's so much to be done beyond the bed, too, and my boyfriend doesn't want anyone to help us, but I would find it so much easier to get someone to get out the trash, at least.

I think you've got the right approach here Maven.

And you're right when you say - "I know I can handle what's on the bed."

I believe that you can too.

I believe you have adopted the right strategy for tackling this head on.

It won't all be done today.

But by working on a small part, every day or every other day, you will definitely begin to see improvements and begin to feel better about yourself as you do it.

Hang in there.

Thank you. It might look like junk on my bed, but I know what's there.
