Usually when I have a stressful day I hop on line to play MMORPG's. Today my income came in and I was planning to pre-order an expansion of the online game. Until I saw the pricing.

For the new patch and core game it was the same price as the new patch. Meaning new players will pay half the price as older fans and the older fans playing would have to pay double the amount for the patch.

In a fit of anger I emailed support and they have been vague about the promotion to the point where the customer service rep. was insisting the core game is just a free game and everyone is paying equally. This happens for most of the night because the rep is unwilling to hear me out and I was unwilling to let it go as this game was one of my coping methods.

I had to break it down in basic math explaining over again how this marketing is now benefiting any of the older fans whom put in years for the game. Every response I got afterwards was just a robotic response even when I tried empathizing; I know the reps have no control over the company, but it makes me so angry how I put my loyalty to their products, my money and my time and for them to not want to offer some compensation or just a simple acknowledgment that they will mention my feels as a customer to someone above them.

I worked in CS before; I know what its like to be on that side and I also know how by simply showing compassion towards a customer can really make them feel less like a number and more like a person.

in the end, I rashly asked the rep to refund my account's core game. I no longer want to be apart of a gaming company's community that will not take the time to appreciate long time customers.

Now, I just feel alone and still upset over the whole situation and so far the help lines have been childminding me about being upset over a game.. I really don't know how to vent anymore without hitting something or inflicting harm

As a fellow gamer I feel u. I went through some bs with Playstation a few yes ago an still to this day I'm angry about it and refuse to have anything to do with us I that companies products.

My issue was COD black ops 2 came out in nov. then there was an update for new yrs. well that update crashed my system. The company wouldn't admit but it was an issues world wide on certain generation systems. Now I had just gotten my system back in August due to the power supply going out again. That was a complimentary fix due to the fact that jut 6months before the same thing happene and it cost $108 to fix.

Playstation said I used my only complimentary fix and since I couldn't prove they sent an incomplete update to systems to crash them I could do nothing. I stopped playing the system and sold all of it. Then March of that ur they sent a patch to fix the issue when updating COD. It all fixed but then in April same thing happened again. (This is all 2nd Han from friends now). They did it 2x to the largest franchised game for their system and screwed some of their most loyal gamers.

When I called originally I talked to multiple ppl including managers and I wanted my money back not jut for the game but also the season pass I purchased and never got to use. They said it was an issue with the game publisher whom I called as well and they said it was Playstation. It just pissed me off so much. I will never recommend the systems to anyone nor will I ever purchase or play anything Sony makes ever again.

If they were all in front of me I would pummel them into a coma wait for them to get better and then just repeatedly do it. I can't do that so I have to let it go but I can't and it just sits in me festering and I can't shake it. So I kno exactly how u feel. U r not alone. These companies that do this crap r con artists and all who work for them r indirectly accomplices to extortion.

I'm sorry to hear about what happened. I understand that you're angry and that this has been your support system. Hopefully over time the anger and being upset will diminish. Please don't lash out. Try now to find another coping system.
