People always tell me I’m too young to be this stressed out. I’m too sad. I’m too angry. I feel so many emotions all at once. Last night I completely broke down about everything. And explaining why I was sad, angry, etc. was like pulling teeth. I ended up writing everything down and then proceeded to cry for about an hour and a half. I got mad at someone in school the other day and
Possible trigger:
My anger control isn’t really as good as it used to be. I’ve been crying more than usual. I just want to be normal for once. Feel normal feelings. Deal with them in normal ways. But I guess it’s time to stop wishing things were different and start making them different...

Hi, Welcome to Psych Central (PC). Anyone at any age can be stressed out. I am sorry you have suffered from situations in your life that have triggered all these pent up emotions that can come out in inappropriate ways. One option is to seek professional help in therapy and anger management.

Many people here at PC find they can share these feelings and what they are going through with the confidence that people go through similar things and can empathize. So many forums are offered as well as Chatrooms (after you have 5 posts or comments on others posts). Depression chat meets on Thursday night at 9pm EST and Anxiety Wednesday at 8PM.

You can also be an active member in other ways like supporting others in their questions, reading articles and posts http://forums.psychcentral.com that are applicable to your area of concern.

Please feel free to private message me or any of the Community Liaisons by left clicking on the name in blue to the left of their post) for questions or just to share.

For me lifestyle changes fit big in my recovery hopes..

I have to watch what I eat because foods I eat can stabilize my moods or exaggerate them. A high protein low carb diet with snacks or meals every 3-4 hours will over time reduce my swings. I also avoid alcohol and recreational drugs because those can really increase depression.

Other lifestyle changes that help me are doing yoga, exercises, mindfulness, calm music, and being active on Psych Central.

Hi itsallokay,

do you want to share what happened that made you feel that way? Maybe you are going through something that scares you?
Feel free to write it down here, and don't fear that it isn't okay to be in a weird place. There isn't such a thing as "normal", only you know what is best for you. Talking to others can help you find out what is wrong, and what could be done to make you feel better.
Feel what you feel, and don't be ashamed of it.

Why you were crying isn't that important, but the fact that you expressed emotions correctly is a win win!! All of us can pick out several things that have gone wrong in our life and you can cry again for it if you haven't the first time. I wouldn't worry about explaining the why's....I think you don't owe anyone an explanation! I'm glad you expressed emotions correctly....All things can be put on the table to be more specific about if you felt someone's needs an explanation. Never say never right!
