I am in treatment for depression and I have been working on self love and learned recently, about the extent of damage of narcissistic abuse,I had endured in my childhood.

Now recently I have been craving all good luxury things for myself and it is very interesting because I used to be a frugal person ,who would not want luxury things.

Does this mean anything ??Or am I in low self esteem trap and trying to impress people. I do think I want these things for myself and not to show to other people.

Can anyone relate or what does this change mean??

Is it causing you problems? Are you running up credit card debt buying luxury items you really can't afford? Do you find that you like showing off the expensive things to other people and getting positive feedback/jealousy from them?

It's funny because I have the same 'problem'. I do it to spend money and fill the void by buying things I don't really need.

I'm buying a lot as well. But also because it's Christmas season and everything's on sale could influence me. I started with jewelry worth $100, went to a grand, and bought 2 grand diamond and gold ring. I really think this is *okay* I'm actually treating myself- salon trips for the very first time loved it. Went again and going to go again ... shampoo deep condition blow dry and trim partial lights I feel good. I'm guessing it becomes an issue if you go in the negatives especially over 50 grand
