[B][/B I am a mother of son who is a narcissist and has abused my granddaughter; both physically and mentally. It just doesn't seem to stop. He got my granddaughter taken away from him and now has 50% custody. My daughter inlaw has her most of the time now. However he continues to mentally abuse her. He makes her so nervous that she throws up all the time She is only 7 years old and a diabetic. His girlfriend also abused her and was told to move out of his house. But he can't wait to move her back in stating that she had a bad childhood and that's why she beats my granddaughter. I feel like I lost my son. I don't know who he is anymore. It's like he's a monster bringing harm where ever he goes. I haven't spoken to him since all this happened and I don't feel like I can ever have a relationship with him again. I love him as a son, but I hate who he has become. Does anyone have a similar experience or have any suggestions? I would really appreciate some feedback. Thank You.

luckily, my sons father lost a custody case over my son. the judge didn't even know we weren't married until the last court case and that was the reason i won. my ex was smearing my name and committing libel and slander against me. i don't know how far he got it to drag on but we had at least 5-7 appearences before they even knew we weren't married. WTF!!!

Hello KristenRenee: I'm afraid I don't have much to offer here. But given the seriousness of the situation, as you describe it, I wonder if it might not be in the child's best interest if you contacted whatever child protection services exist in your area.
Here in Minnesota, there is a strong child protection system in place. They don't always get it right, & sometimes cases fall through the cracks. But there is at least a serious effort made to ensure that as many children as possible are protected. Hopefully there is something similar available where you live. My best wishes to you as you continue to struggle with this most difficult situation... |
