So basically last night I had a dream Where i "killed" someone out of anger. I woke up feeling guilty because of it. Normally that guilt would last for weeks because I would ruminate on it. I tend to feel guilty for my anger and think of stopping myself by harming myself. But with this today I spent an hour going over my emotions in my dream and the reasoning behind my "actions". It helped me understand it. But I also had kept it in my mind that I tend to obsess about my violent fantasies and feel guilt when they are just a fantasy. I Guess what I'm askingf is if others have had similar experiences and how they have coped.

Please don't harm yourself.

I haven't experienced these types of fantasies, and rarely remember my dreams, but want you to know your post is being read and we do support you in your search for information about this. I also read your post, "I Wish"

I don't have much to offer other than when I googled violent dreams/fantasies, all sorts of reasons for these came up. I also saw that there are different ways that may help someone "let go" of having these dreams.

I hope you decide to talk with a therapist to find the cause behind these dreams/fantasies and the anger...and a way to work through this and feel better.

Yea I've been with a therapist for about six months. I more or less had an aha moment and was wondering if others had a similar moment. No worries of self harm. I couldn't do that to my family.

I'm going to add that the words "harming myself" should be "harming others".

I hope you can find someone to help you with advice.
I never killed anyone in my dreams,But I have been the one to almost be killed. Not sure why.
I do suffer with uncontrollable anger. Not that I would ever hurt anyone and I'm currently going to a counselor for it.It's more of the words I say can be harsh,Although I use to be much worse when I was a teenager.
Good luck!
