Is it true that only narcissistic people feel envy, or do "normal" people feel envy as well?

Is it possible to prevent someone from being envious?

I am far from narcissistic but have had periods of my life where I have been envious.

When one is down in the dumps it is only natural to be envious of thos with seemingly rewarding lives. It doesn't mean necessarily we think we are owed any perfection.
Thanks for this!

Does a narcissist feel they are owed things? I would think they then feel anger and resentment not envy. Perhaps I'm wrong.
