Hello, I just would like to say I have been learning German and as I have been learning that language. I have been gaining confidence and motivation to do other things. It's funny how your life changes when you decide on immersing yourself in activities that help with life skills because one day you never know you might need what you learn. It's those things like learning about something your passionate about can lead you to other hobbies and activities to learn from.

Learning can be very empowering, especially when it's something you're really interested in. I love that feeling of accomplishment, and also notice my mind is calmer when immersed in learning about a subject I enjoy.

thanks for this! It reminded me that moving my focus on to something else besides my illness, my feelings is another option, very beneficial.

Your post has helped jogged me from self-focus to find something else to immerse myself in. I can remember when this helped in the past - math really made me feel "expanded". I could see its applications beyond the class, not simply in the literal math, but in how thoughts or situations could be "grouped" differently for perhaps different results, how there might be more than just one way to solve a problem.

I remember when Calculus revealed that many of the places we were told stop in an Algebra problem, could be further refined, reduced, solved. This made me think that just because I saw no solution at present maybe, with more information, knowledge, experience, a solution could present itself.

good stuff
