Worried...

First, I want no one to tell me, again, to forget it because I won't. People are not disposable diapers where you can discard them at the first, second, whatever sign of trouble, unless there is abuse.
Soo, my purpose of this post is to get support. That's it. Ok? Here we go.

He has prostate cancer. For those who are wondering about the sexual side of him and I, don't wonder.
Past Sunday he called in response to a text I sent him as regards him being upset because I didn't answer his calls past Tuesday, because I felt he was upset. He apologized for what he said on my voicemail. Then he said "There's nothing for you to worry about regarding our relationship." Beautiful sincere words, made my night and subsequent days/nights.
However prior to that, long, long prior to that, he told me he's going away for a few weeks to his home state. We were on the phone and I heard him groan while saying "I gotta get this done." Now, did I ask "why are you going"? Of course dummy here didn't!! But at least I have enough sense to know that, usually, when someone says "I gotta get this done" nine times outta ten it isnt something they want to do.
Yet I'm in this state of mind of worry.
Was, though sincere, his words, "There's nothing for you to worry about regarding our relationship" a requisite of something about to happen? Of course I don't know and I don't expect y'all to know either. Just asking.
I called him tonight and no answer. Of course I left a message.
I just don't know.
