I've noticed a pattern where every Sunday night as I lay in bed I begin to dread the next week. I am mostly torn about balancing my work and my family. I feel constant pressure to give more and most of it comes from within.
It's so hard to articulate all those negative and anxious feelings in this post. I feel like crying but I keep pushing through. Not sure where to turn or what to do. This has been going on for months. |

You can not care for others, if you do not care for yourself first. My advice is to take care of yourself. See a therapist if your anxiety gets over whelming.

Hello Smiles007: I'm an older person & no longer working. I also don't have a family, other than my wife. But there are still lots of things that need to be done. I often feel so tired I don't know where my next breath will come from. But I also fear where the bottom would be if I ever allowed myself to sink.
![]() ![]() ![]() The obvious answer here, I guess, is to talk to a therapist. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Years ago a therapist recommended a book on setting boundries to me that was very helpful. One technique I found very helpful at work when my boss would give me a week's worth of work that he wanted done by the end of the day was to go to him and say 'I can't get this all done in the time frame you established. Please prioritize the work, and I'll get started on it.' It was amazingly effective in me not being forced to take on the weight of the world so to speak.
Prioritize what absolutely has to be done, and go from there. No one can do everything without ending up burned out. Stand up for yourself, and believe it or not, your family will respect you more. The times I've stood up for myself have usually resulted in being treated better as the people I'm working with find out I won't tolerate not being respected.

It's called anticipatory anxiety. Is very common among the pop.on Sunday night's.
