T said something funny today in session. He suggested some of my emotions, the ones that don't make sense and I have trouble controlling, are possibly memory. Memory without words.

Has anyone heard of this before?

I've heard of suppressed emotion that surfaces in relation to current events or just at random times by itself with no rhyme or reason. I have experienced it on occasion and it's always pure hurt/pain for me. I think there are some things in our past that are so emotionally charged that we cant get close enough to even tell what we are looking at without the emotion covering our eyes and overwhelming our minds an hearts.
Thanks for this!

Interestingly enough: I felt horrible, I wrote him an email hoping he would write back and help me feel better, but he didn't respond. So I wrote another canceling my appointment next week. All of a sudden all the emotional pain I was in, is gone.

Emotions are generated by thoughts, and memories are thoughts. Remember, what we realize is just a small fraction of what is actually happening in the brain.
