I genuinely don't see why people care about me. I really don't see it. What are people seeing that I'm not? I'm not writing this for people to tell me, the question is more rhetorical. I just don't know why these people want to help me. What's the point? I'm a lost cause anyway that was never worth the trouble. Does it just ease their conscious or what? What's the point?

Sharing a kind or compassionate word or offering a helpful hand today might ultimately inspire or lead to the same being passed along to someone else tomorrow, and thus do we human beings each-and-all have a chance to survive.

Like others have said, we see things in people that they themselves may not see. You don't see it because you are hurting right now. I do hope it gets better soon and you can see the caring and compassion people are showing you.

When I was depressed I didn't see why other people would care either, I had given up on myself - they hadn't given up on me thankfully.

I'm glad you have people who care about you, you do deserve it, listen to the kind words spoken to you and work to believe them.

It's hard to see ourselves as deserving love when MI rages on. People do care in their own fashion. Keep fighting.

I don't remember where I heard this, but supposedly we make friends with someone or connect with people when we see our own positive traits in that person. It's almost instinctive. We want to see positive traits passed down so when we see those traits in another person we want to help them.

So it's quite possible that people see their good traits in you.
Thanks for this!
