Hello everyone!
I hate always talking about myself, but sometimes I just need to reach out. On July 9th of 2015, I fell 15 ft head first into a concrete basement. I was institutionalized at a brain care specialist's center for 2 months. Since the accident, I have been very angry at my old boss. The fall was completely her fault, due to negligence. How do I get my anger out in a safe way?

If you have old furniture and stuff you don't need in storage basement wherever...take it out back and smash it! As long as it's yours and you don't need it, I find that a healthy way to deal with anger. Just don't smash anything that doesn't belong to you or on anyone else's property but your own!!

Did you get compensation for your injuries? Without knowing the full facts of the accident it is difficult to make a reccomendation. |

My T recommended I get a punch bag and it was really good , then you get to " feeling " whatever you're feeling , which anger can mask. Sorry this has happened to you.

When I was in residential treatment this last summer, they had plastic bats they allowed you to use. They called it "bat therapy". Whenever I got really pissed or had the urge to self harm, I would grab the bat and beat the hell out of the tree. Of course this did damage to the bat, not the tree, but it got so much of my aggression out. Unfortunately, it's more difficult to do if you don't live on your own property. Something else I had to try was screaming into a pillow. That released anger as well, and then you start to feel whatever was underneath that anger. Just be prepared to lose your voice if you try that.

Is that the ruling of a court or your anger speaking? Getting the facts in order could be a beginning for no longer being controlled and driven by anger. So, what are the details?
