Apologies in advance...don't know where to put this, triggered myself (oh I soooo hate that word when applied to me)...
Possible trigger:
I feel so selfish posting this...knowing that people here are suffering from dv here and I'm acting like a victim from observing it. But it hurts.

Dont feel guilty for having empathy ((((((((((yagr))))))))))
I told my T once that I sometimes feel like a semi permeable membrane disguised as a human... I'm sorry that bearing witness to the assault affected you so profoundly, but I'm also glad you were there, who knows what else he would've broken, and how would she have gone to the hospital if you hadn't?

Violence is a horrible thing. It's horrible for the victim and for the witness of it. I cannot witness violence and not be impacted by it. God bless and you! My heart is so thankful that you were where you were and you were a Good Samaritan when others witnessed what happened and passed on by. Maybe it would give you peace to know that you were there for her. I understand, I believe, how you are feeling. Please find peace in the fact that you helped her. Another (((hug)))

You shouldn't feel guilty, and it was really nice of you that you stopped, pulled over, and took her to hospital.
One of my colleagues at work was going to walk out on her partner until he got fist happy with her. I feel helpless with the situation, I mean I offered her a bed for the night - she said no. I suggested she go to the police and she doesn't want her adult children to find out... sometimes we can only do so much and not beat ourselves up for our limitations |

Not many would do that, you done something to be quite proud off. Of course you are going to hurt around seeing that kind of thing. I would too.
