Triggered by a Facebook post....[TRIGGER WARNING!! VERY DISTURBING!!]

I just went on Facebook to see all the Women's March photos to make myself feel better when I saw a very nauseatingly disturbing photo posted by a "friend" on there. It was a petition to get two teenage boys arrested, but there was some disturbing imagery to go along with it.



I'm shaking, nauseous and triggered like all hell. I can't.....I can't......my head hurts...

....I want to throw up....or cry....but can't do either....

Do you ever go to the games part of PCWORLD? I find that very distracting. Also, I like www.blogthings.com (quizzes) and attackofthecute.com (bunch of cute things)...

I hope you start to feel better, that does sound very disturbing and triggering...

I saw this myself and I too got really pissed off at it - and the friend who had shared it.

I feel the same way about the 'share and amen' posts that people insist on passing around over and over and over again. In my opinion the only thing being accomplished is that it is giving freaks out there the idea and encouragement to do the same.

I couldn't stop seeing those pictures and imagining the suffering of the poor dog as the kids laughed away while doing what they did.

It haunts me whenever I close my eyes. I see those images burned into the insides of my eyelids.

As a huge animal lover, I'm beyond disturbed....

I am a huge animal lover myself and I have no sympathy for anyone who hurts one. You have no idea the things I would like to do to them....

Unsubscribe from their feed. I'd personally unfriend them, too.

Can you stay off of facebook? Change your feed so that you only see things from "safe" people?

I don't really "do" facebook anymore although I do have an account still. I keep it b/c its a link to people from my past if I should ever so desire to communicate with them. Its annoying how they want to communicate with me though----and I don't want to talk to them, lol.

I don't even want to go on Facebook anymore.

Oh that's so horrible - I agree with the suggestion of unfollowing or defriending, and a little break from fb might be a good idea.

It's so sad that people choose to share such badness, there are so many good things going on out there. Try to immerse yourself in the positive stories out there. Maybe check this site out:

I have not seen this and do not want to. I have a fear of finding something on FB that would cause this reaction----I have come close but....it isn't feeling safe "out there"...or "in there"...
I do suggest the games (I sometimes go there for weeks at a time), anything---I find crossword puzzles a good distraction...

Did the teens look like could be from Latin or South America?

I ask because if they do, I know exactly what you're talking about and I can assure you the teens have already been identified and arrested. For some reason this petition has still surfaced on the Internet on occasion, even though this incident was YEARS ago.

It might not be much but I hope it helps you and anyone else knowing that justice has already been served.

I would unfriend but I would report the person sharing to FB first. That's not okay, no matter what the purpose.

Facebook is the most awful abusive place.
What they did to that dog is appalling,horrific,a crime,can you not phone the police and get this investigated?It may help things to know these lads are arrested and charged and stopped from doing it again.I'd have to try find them and bring them to justice.Not that there is any blame on you if you are unable to achieve this.I feel the pain and horror that you do,my heart breaks and I feel down now too.
I love animals with all my heart and can't stand to see or hear that they have been hurt.Makes me angry and so sad too.

No problem. Years ago this very thing was messaged to me on Facebook by two friends. (Who interestingly did so within 24 hours of each other despite having no relation with each other, not even mutual friends.) I did some quick research and discovered the teens had already been arrested and that the story was already 2 years old.

I think it came out of Mexico, if I remember right.

I saw a video on facebook of a young boy in a another country being ignored and starving to death because the elders thought he was witch.... he was 3!!!!! Around the same age as my son.
I cried and sobbed for hours about it. I picked my son up and held him thinking about this little boy. It just broke my heart..

I dont go on Facebook anymore other than to communicate with family from England. I cant stand seeing the horrible crap on there.
