So I went downstairs about an hour ago to take my meds and grab some breakfast. My dad had left the TV running and a very triggering movie was on. Something about a group of guys being tortured in a very graphic nature by a psychotic woman. Not a nice movie at all.

I grabbed my cereal and ran back upstairs, I didn't want to hang around too long and be exposed to the movie anymore than I had to. I suppose in hindsight, I could have turned it off, but I wasn't thinking clearly.

Anyways, I forgot to take my meds in my haste to leave and now I don't want to go back down there for a while knowing that movie is on. I'm getting pretty bad brain zaps, and I need them.

Put earbuds in and don't look toward the TV and walk by it very fast? Take your meds if you are getting zaps! You've already been triggered anyways and the lack of meds might be contributing.....

I'll see if the movie is still on. My dad leaves the TV pretty loud sometimes and I'll just go out into the hallway and listen.

EDIT: Thankfully, the TV shut itself off. Our Cable service has this feature which shuts off the TV after a few hours of inactivity.

I'm sorry you were triggered. I'm glad you were able to get your meds.
