I'm not sure where this topic goes. I've been divorced for almost a year and separated for for about 4 years. I had that whole I'm trying to get my life back together and adjust of which I'm still doing. However relationship wise it's been more down than up. I didn't care for one before and now I seem to want to get involved but keep meeting the wrong people.

I've placed myself in situations where things will work against me in order to give things a shot. I'm finding it hard to recognize who's using me or not. I give people a chance and then it doesn't seem to work out. What I want out of a relationship is not what they want. They get from it what they want and disappear. Then I'm left behind with these feelings. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but so far I'm always the one worried at the end due to circumstances I've placed myself in. They've walked away so it doesn't matter.

I don't know how you're approaching things that you get used but maybe you could think of another route to take so you don't keep going out with people who take advantage of you. Good luck and best wishes.
Thanks for this!
