With my husband who has been lacking in understanding. We received some difficult news in regards to our daughter and my husband just kept shocking me and not being careful of all that I was feeling. It isn't that he was not affected but he kept acting like he shouldn't be careful or respectful. It has been just awful and I am in pain up to my ears. Head, chest everything. The news was hard enough I didn't need foolishness. So here I am suffering.

I am so sorry for the pain you are feeling. (((Hugs))) and I hope your daughter will be OK!! As for your husband, can you talk to him about this? Can you tell him, when you said X, Y or Z, I didn't feel my feelings were being listened to or respected? And then tell him how you are feeling about this? Perhaps open up the doors of communication, when you are both calm.... when people are most upset and get bad news, they may not be their best selves....

Maybe you can try to focus on your own thoughts and feelings. Be your own caring friend and block out his words if you can.

I agree with the two previous posters . Maybe you could talk to your husband about supporting you during this difficult time. You need to present a united front and support your daughter should she need it and avoid as much conflict as you can. You need each other now. I hope everything works out with your family. Best wishes.

Feeling alone in a relationship is worse than feeling alone by default. I am sorry to hear of the dark times that your family is going through.
May I ask? How have you and your husband handled difficult times, in the past? Has he shown this type of behavior before or is this out of the blue?
And, may be he is going through as much pain as you do but doesn't know how to handle it?
