If you feel the emotion, then you're not a fake. Other people's inability to express empathy & understanding, is more a reflection upon them, rather than you.

Grieving is an essentially personal experience - nobody but you can ever quite know that experience, or need to go through it.

Poor furbaby never deserved what the scumbags did to her before she went into rescue.

I miss her. I wish I could of saved her.

I know how hard it is to lose a furry best friend. No matter what others say, you're allowed to grieve for them and you never have to "replace" them. I have new kitties now, but none will ever take the place of Blaze in my heart. People who say you can just replace them have no idea what it is to truly love an animal. Ignore those idiots. Better yet, feel sorry for them for having missed out on such a relationship.

I have nobody in real life that I can talk to.

Nobody understands how important Ebony was to me. Not even my mum and Mum loved Ebony and Ebony loved Mum and used to follow her around refusing to let her out of her sight when Mum came to visit (and Mum was the only person Ebony ever did that with, she followed me around a bit but not to the extent she did with Mum)

You can always talk to me.I understand I had a cat once who was hit by a hit and run driver she passed away .My family was heart broken.It makes me sick to know that someone could have been so cruel to run over a cat like that or any animal.

Ebony wasn't run over, whoever hurt her so bad deliberate hit her across the ribs with something like a walking stick or something similar, she was always terrified of walking sticks, the second she saw a walking stick in anyone's hand she'd run and hide under the chair and look out with clear fear in her eyes even despite that, she let people handle her as long as they never tried to pick her up, if someone tried to pick her up she'd jump over their hands and fret or completely run away and hide and look at that person with fear while hiding somewhere

Just to be clear, we are certain she was abused before she got taken in by rescue, never at any point did anyone hurt her while she was in my care, I know this for sure, only time she ever left my sight was when I was out of the house for any reason, Ebony was scared of the outside world so wouldnt go outside

I held her at the end on the 2nd March as she past away and I can't eat properly even now and still think she's there then remember she's not
