I figured with this thing going on, I'd post this thread for those of us that are missing interaction to post if they got any chance today to interact with anyone

I am being phoned this evening by a friend who wants me to speak to her daughter so I get to know her
(she wanted us to meet face to face, but next best thing)

Thanks for this!

I am posting stuff online for online learning for my students, it’s kind of one way interaction unless some contact me back. None did this morning, probably sleeping lol

I texted back and forth with a coworker. We are freaking out awaiting governor announcing that we don’t go back to work this year at all

Texted with my husband, he is at work. He was passing on message from his coworkers. They can finally wear masks that my coworker’s mom made and donated to his hospital.

Other than that no contact with people. Not turning on tv because it’s down hill from there. It’s dead quiet right now.

I just talked to a friend on the phone and before that with to daughter with my future son in law, phone again

I now have to talk to one of my students and her mother.

I haven’t seen a single person today. None. Postal worker from afar

It’s bizarre. I’ll forget how people look

None except for that which I get day-to-day with my spouse. But that's normal for me. I just keep to myself.

I spoke on the phone a few times with my parents who are self isolating, I dropped groceries to them but we could not talk other than briefly. My dad blew me a kiss.

I am lucky that I live with my family although we respect social distance as they are higher risk groups and we need to be careful. I miss my hugs!

I messaged a few friends today too.

Talked on the phone with my Mom and my friend. I also had a convo with my neighbor, respectfully distanced.

I talked to my mum and my cat. He doesn't say much and he's so-so about listening but he allows hugs.

On the phone and on email, both for work and text messages to neighbor and my mom. Got outside to walk my dog on breaks, and did yard work.

How are virtual hangouts and to me they sound boring and a drag if they are more than one or two other persons. Since I’m introverted and shy also in real life in large groups, a virtual hangout with a large group does not appeal to me.

They are a little strange in my experience, especially for larger groups. There is a slight lag (very small) and it's hard to know when to speak. Also it's one at a time which in my experience means more confident talkative people can dominate. If you are a little shy that can be an issue.

That said it is wonderful to see and hear people we won't otherwise see for a long time.
Thanks for this!

Thanks and maybe I will try face time or Skype with one friend from college who haven’t spoke to in several years. Then maybe talk to 2 persons and if goes well, maybe more than 2 persons.

You crack me up. You never fail to make me laugh. Your cat 😂🤣

A friend and coworker of mine who lives alone but has a lovely dog has been sending me pictures of her dog doing stuff. Like pretend to play piano or other silly things. Having a pet must be comforting now.

Although it must be also stressful because of having to get supplies. My daughter stuck up on litter and cat food for her cat and it warms my heart. She is slightly obsessed with her cat lol

I wish I had an animal. it would be so good to have something. I used to have a dog when I was a child, but I live alone now and simply can't take care of an animal because of my issues.

ah well... I have fond memories of the dog, which I suppose is something.

her name was roxy and she was a yorkshire terrier

A lady struck up a conversation with me in the supermarket queue and a guy knocked on my door asking for cigarette papers. And this is a busy day, ha.
