I made a few calls, sent a few messages.

I was supposed to do group chat tonight but they all dropped out. I feel let down. I know people have a lot on their mind but myself I am always dependable and it hurt tonight as I was looking forward to it.

Saw my mom to look at a house. The one she really wanted to see was sold. We went to lunch. I facetimed my daughter. Miss her.

Spoke on the phone, messaged a few people and got a few messages. Nicest of all was some photos of her children home learning from a dear friend. That made my day.

I decided I don't like Zoom and don't want to do it anymore. It feels weird.

With what it’s going on currently, I rather keep my social distance. Lol!
Not much, I try to go to do my stuff taking care that any absent-minded soul rushes into me.
Thanks god, internet connections exist but I’m not in the mood or feel confident using these means either.

Took mum to the clinic. Saw and spoke to a nurse from 6 feet away and stopped at a coffee shop and got a Coke. Everyone had masks.

Today other than the family I live with my social interaction was some messaging, then I went to collect my son's prescription and although I had to queue 2 meters apart outside it was a short queue. Only 2 in the pharmacy at a time and it was very well organised.

The young woman behind the counter was exceptionally nice and I drank in this one outside encounter for all it was worth!

On my walk a few people thanked me as I stood back for them. I notice everyone just seems more aware and attentive during these brief social interactions.

Working in the shop I always said we should always be extra nice in our interaction with customers as we might be the only people they talk to that day - now it's true of many people.

I am touched by these simple gently kind and polite interactions.

This thread seems to me such a good idea, it’s a big challenge and I’m happy to be part of it.
Only, lately, the confinement along with the arrival of Spring are doing the best from my mood, so, I barely had the strength to even write here. So, not much socialisation, today I’m beginning to feel better though.

Just a little messaging today oh and a chat with neighbours the other side of the fence - could hear them but not see them.

I left shopping at my parents but did not see them. I leave it in an outbuilding.

I drive through at McDonalds for coffee every day. It makes things seem normal.
I email with friends.
The postal worker delivered something. He was SO friendly and nice.
The pizza guy was so jokey and nice yesterday.

Internet interaction for me today. And a nice smile from a young lady on my walk which lifted my spirits a bit. Those kinds of smiles and hellos always lift my spirits regardless of pandemic.

It’s curious because here I see people since the pandemic began we look at among us with lots of mistrust.
Maybe it’s only a reflection of my own behaviour out or maybe it’s only a personal sensation. I’m not sure.
You are lucky.

I don’t expect many from me these days to be honest. The same as each day lately, a few interaction with my partner, lots of interaction with my two doggies ( the two apple of my eyes), some posts here and some what’s app messages with relatives.
And considering, I’m today interacting more than usual.

My therapist responded to an email. I guess that counts as a social interaction.
