Just yesterday one of my friend told me you're boring me and told me I've muted your messages. I mean that was quite rude of him! He is generally rude and inconsiderate towards people. But obviously it doesn't justify and I felt hurt. Because now I feel that I'm annoying him, he doesn't want to talk to me and I shouldn't message him I'm just forcing myself on him. .. like all these feelings from one comment. I mean if I say someone they're boring I don't think they would be hurt or so bothered about it right. We had a good conversation just the day before, so then I think how can he feel annoyed.. He just felt annoyed at the moment. Idk. I'm struggling with my mental health recently, so that is overflow of emotions. But I'm trying to take it a little lightly. If I cannot after a few days I'll tell.him clearly what I feel maybe. . .. idk. What should I do? I feel so anxious and hurt. Should I stop texting him? Or should I ask him. Or should I just let it go and behave like I use to?

He does not sound like a good friend. It sounds like you've had a mix of experiences with him, good and bad, but because of that, you are rationalizing his behavior. That's not okay behavior and it IS mean to say "You're boring me. I'm muting you now." My advice would be to not message him and just move on. Especially since he is generally rude and inconsiderate. I would not be friends with someone like that, but that's just me. Or, if you want you could message him one last time, checking out your feelings, like you want to, and then if he doesn't respond (which is rude, mean, etc) because he has you on mute, etc, or is just a jerk, forget him. I get the sense that you may have low self esteem? You are worth much more than a friend who acts this way! You deserve to be treated well in your friendships, we all do.

it doesn't sound like he is a good friend. I'm sorry he treated that way. I wouldn't have anything to do with this guy.

I do have slow self esteem and I'm scared of losing friends too after my bestfriend abandoned me last year. .. I'm rationalising his behaviour because he also told since 1-2 months youve changed - like I guess I've - we had some rights in last 2-3 months where I over reacted ik and I'm struggling with my mental health. So could be I've become more clingy or something to him.... or maybe he is just annoyed by me as he drifted apart after fights.... He did message me something yesterday, I replied okay. I haven't messaged him since then and for a few days I won't. After that maybe I'll tell him it was mean and it bothered me. Idk I just don't want the friendship to end you know. I don't want to stay on bad terms with anyone.

What a jerk! I would not want to be friends with someone who treats me so rudely. I understand you don't want to lose a friendship, but what kind of friendship are you holding onto when they hurt you like that? Cut them loose. Who needs rude and mean friends? Better to face loneliness than have someone cut down your self esteem and self worth.

He doesn't sound like a friend worth keeping to me. But I understand how it is to be lonely.

You don’t need this friendship. He doesn’t deserve you.

I also try to rationalise when someone is being rude with me. It doesn’t take me to anywhere, only to future regrets.
The only exception I see here is if this person is ready to apologise and change his behaviour and he does it.
That’s it.
I’d rather be alone.

I lost friends myself. But I know it was for the right reasons. I do understand how you feel.

Horrible. Definitely not a friend, doesn't have your best interests in mind.

I had to leave my "friends" at a certain point in my life and I was lonely for a couple of years. Not the greatest times but - still better than with those toxic "friends". Sometimes you just have to walk alone for some time.

You said he is generally rude towards people, so it is natural he was now rude to you. It is hurtful and a good friend does not say rude, hurtful things.

I had a similar friend and had to end the friendship after too many super rude comments toward me.

You could try talking to him about not being hurtful to you, and it might help.

When I refused to have an over-the-line conversation with my friend (of 40 years), she never spoke to me again. Just saying this as a warning for what to expect.

I can relate with this and I'm hurt too by what people say. So your not alone. I've always been very compassionate, so I think this is why what things people say hurts me more. Just continue to be yourself. Your friend doesn't sound like a good friend at all.

He isn't a good friend, nor is he a real one if he treats you this bad. If you don't want to keep feeling like this, please cut him off from your life if won't change.

Much hugs. :3
