And I can't get them out of my head. I know my life is in a pisshole because i missed so many opportunities in my youth. I am filled with regrets therapy isn't helping. Yes it's the past we can't change it but damn why can't we forget.

Self compassion is important. You did not know then what you know now. You cannot change the past. All we can do is change our behaviour now. Some things may be too late but some things we can change.

Mistakes are to be learned from, not to put yourself down with.

I have done dreadful things in my life. Thinking back on them (which I do incessantly) takes my breath away. I never started out wanting to be an awful person. I intended to be the best of people. How did I allow myself to go SO wrong? I don't know. And, at this late stage in my life, I never will. Perhaps therapy would be nice... just having someone to talk to. But it wouldn't change anything. Have I learned anything from all of the mistakes I've made? Yes, I've learned that the world, or at least the tiny portion of it I inhabit, is better off without me. So I just keep to myself as I await the final curtain. Perhaps not being able to forget is simply just punishment for the rotten person I was.

Like Thunder Bow has said.. mistakes are something people can learn from. So Perhaps rather than forgettnng it may be more useful to treasure them as part of our experience with Life. Plus, i am SURE You've done plenyt of things RIGHT in Your Life as Well so Perhaps start Remembering THAT as Well. EveryOne makes mistakes and You're not to blame for that. Aviza, you're not the same person that you were years ago when you were younger. She had her reasons for being how she was. The atmosphere in her world may have contributed to her behavior. You can't blame yourself for what she did. Maybe you can learn to forgive her because she was broken & there wasn't anyone there helping her? Hugs & love to you, Aviza!

A lot of the things you did are due to illness. You aren’t to blame for having an illness. You seek help and treatment and always thrive to do better. And that’s all we could do.

There a lot of things I could do better and different. Didn’t know better. There isn’t anything I can do about it. Just try my best now.

So did i, i could have been a professional boxer if i continued to fight. I sustained brain damage and there were other problems. Learn from your mistakes.
