I'm getting that same intrusive thoughts about being single and possibly being single forever. I wish I could stop feeling sad about it I started doing crotcheting as a hobby to help myself but it still comes in. I guess I need to learn to accept the thoughts.

Intrusive thoughts are annoying, I think trying a hobby that keeps your mind busy is a great idea.

When I get intrusive thoughts I try to isolate them, identify them for exactly what they are, and try to focus on something else. As for your particular thoughts, they are conjecture, no more or less likely to happen than anything else - we can’t know our future, maybe it might help to visualise other possibilities?
