My mum always said to me you don't have to tell people everything about your life to people your dating and I think about that advice a lot. Like it's the best advice ever. In general that advice is pretty good and helped me a lot with respecting my emotional boundaries if someone asks me something I don't want to answer I tell them I don't want to answer. It's honestly saved me from a lot of uncomfortable situations so I thank her advice. What's a good piece of advice you ever got that helped you a lot?

Emotions are just temporary feelings. Don’t let someone else bother you (much easier said than done). Don’t say anything negative (also not so easy). Lol, thanks for this, black roses, good thread.

My dad once told me, “Living well is the best revenge.” Pretty wise, especially for him LOL
