Hey guys wanted to talk about shame and guilt
Something that bothers us all but we don’t admit it
Our beliefs and values often define these… shame and guilt can be learnt at home or outside based on our experiences I suppose
But all I know is it can be changed if it is harming us
What are those beliefs that are not good for us?
“I feel so lonely… I wish I had friends. But people my age don’t like me…” I need to test it out if it’s true after meeting at least five people my age. Asking for feedback by saying, “what is one thing you don’t like about me??” So that they’ll get a chance to tell me how they feel. When they do that, it is completely safe to be yourself. No one can hurt us. It is more about how they feel than who you are. (For example if someone says I overthink too much)
It all comes down to how we speak to the little girl or boy we see in the mirror when we’re scared.
It’s perfectly safe to be scared. God takes care of our every need. It’s so painful, to go through grief but it is very important to go through and not avoid it.

Shame is my lordly emotion

Shout out to all my peeps believing you will be rejected/have been rejected, and are unlovable, inferior, bad, defected, and immoral, and want to shrink down, hide, and disappear.

Let's work hard to love ourselves a little more every day. Baby steps. Allow ourselves to feel emotions, learn radical acceptance, stop the impulsive/distracting behaviors, stop attacking and blaming others, stop isolating, and work on problem-solving to get better.

"Because...because...I think it might be because if I knew I wouldn't be able to look for them."
"What, are you crazy?"
"It's a possibility I haven't ruled out yet,"
