on my family doctor's advice, i quit work last august due to a herniated disc in my back that was considered inoperable because of severe arthritis. I also have several degenrated discs as well as no cartilage left in my left knee. At that time, as it is now, my depression had been rearing it's ugly head. Since i wasn't working my doctor advised me to apply for SSDI which i did and i was turned down. That was no surprise because i have been told that 98% of first time applicants are turned down. I got an attorney and appealed and today i received the paperwork and i was turned down again. I don't think that these people know how much i wish i could get up and go to work every day. I can't stand on my feet for longer than 15 minutes without pain, i can't walk very far without pain, i can't sit for very long without pain- i can't even sleep through the night without pain. And then there is the depression which makes the pain worse. Or is it the pain that makes the depression worse? Right now i'm now sure which. I'm just very frustrated.

As Dory the fish from Finding Nemo (if you haven't seen that movie, it'll definitely cheer ya up) would say, "just keep swimming, just keep swimming"

Sorry, that was corny, but here are some parting hugs (only if you want them of course)

To quote one of my fav bands "Come out fighting... don't let it get you down." It's hard to not let it get you down, but we're all here behind you. Keep trying. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
