God,

Grant me the Serenity,

to accept the things that I can't change,

The Courage to change the things I can,

and the Wisdom to know the difference.

Amen

TY Angie. After DocJohn locked the other thread I sat here for a minute and re read what he wrote.
Then I said you know what....let it go. Let's all heal!
Let this site be about encouragement and support and hugs from strangers who know how you really feel deep down. Serenity

True. ( Just that fact... having a thread locked... IS quite an awakening I know, it's happened to me.)

What I am realizing... and working on ... both that I can change NOTHING but, in a way, I can change EVERYTHING! Think about that one!

As a parting gift to all, I wanted to share even a better version of "The Serenity Prayer" that I find more applicable...

Grant me the serenity
to accept the people I cannot change;
The courage to change the ones I can...
And the Wisdom to know it's ME....

Bye guys! Serenity

Hopefully all will realize change must happen within first.
We cannot be responsible for changing others. All we can do is offer support, a listening ear, and a few hundred hugs.
May those who are hurting read the Serenity Prayer and know that we must first look within. If we are not willing to do that we have no right telling others what they should do!

God,

Grant me the Serenity,

to accept the things that I can't change,

The Courage to change the things I can,

and the Wisdom to know the difference.

Amen
