IS THERE ? I MEAN REALLY (may trigger)

Is there HOPE ? Is there a GOD ? Is life really WORTHWHILE ?
I'm beginning to have my doubts . Today I stop wearing my phoney
mask just to please others. If they don't like my miserable mug ,
then too bad . They don't have to live with me . I've had it with
the real world , just looking at other people makes me sick and
even more depressed . Everyone here at PC are so understanding ,
helpful and comforting . We don't have to look at each other
feeling miserable we just know how we feel and try to help if
we can . Depression is sure getting the best of me .

I'm not sure if I'm playing with a full deck , so to say !!!!

I wear a mask every day too...Depression is an evil disease and makes us feel worthless..but like you said..we have found a place where we can "talk" to other people that have the same disease and doesn't that make you feel a little less alone? It sure does that to me. My IRL people are afraid of my depression so this is my outlet...and I think I have been more mindful of my screwed up feelings since I have come here.

You have made me smile so many times! Wouldn't it be a wonderful thing if we could all have a PC convention and meet each other IRL?

You are a good, compassionate person and it is so evident from your posts that you care so much about others and have so much to give!

I am blessed to know you.

Yes, there is hope and sometimes we all feel it.
But actually I think we have to choose from the vatiety of answers.

Hope - YES!
God - I don't know.
Worthwhile - where you are maybe it doesn't feel like it, but it CAN be worthwhile... it IS worthwhile because it can be. If that makes sense.

I hate the mask. But I don't think we'll have to wear it forever.

im still trying to figure out why they call depression a disease? with all thats happening in the world, who wouldnt be depressed? maybe the actual ill ones are the ones who arent depressed? best to you anyway

Yes, there is hope, but you have to find it.

Yes, there is a God, and He wants to help you. He promises to take your trials and misery and turn them to your benefit, if you will give them to Him.

Life is what you make it. Depression hurts, but there is a way out. Depression is often a big sign that the life you are living, the way it is right now, isn't worthwhile or fulfilling to you, and you need to figure out how to change it so that it will be.

There is hope... and there are many Gods... but is life worthwhile? I am asking that myself... I have lived with a mask all my life and still am... you have great courage for taking yours off... you are a great person Babysteps, you will get through this.

If I had no hope, I wouldn't be here. If there was a god (like the one in the bible) why would he torture us so? Some people say it's a test...I would hate to see the final.

If you can drown out some of the horrors and fill your life with at least one friend, some good music, a good book, a play, a museum, the beach, or even ORANGE BLOSSOMS artwork (she says she cuts and pastes other stuff-but it's still beautiful). There are definitelly things to enjoy in between the bad stuff that makes it worthwhile.

I hope you can do some of the fun or interesting things that are available.

Babysteps, how quickly you've secured a place in all our hearts. We're so used to seeing you comfort others, perhaps forgetting that every comforter here is also a sufferer.

I know I'm not playing with a full deck, but IMO no mask or lack of one can harm your image here. "Babysteps" is all I have to see to be confident of the value of what's in the electronic boxes associated with that name.

Cry out your doubts, anger, confusion, whatnot. If we can, we'll mop it up. If we can't mop, we'll look at it and find ... abstract art patterns.

(((((Babysteps09))))) I have so many thoughts running through my head right now that I don't know how to answer your post. Just wanted to let you know that I have read it and understand. I do know this: if I was near you, I would come over, we could sit down, talk for a while, try to work this all out, then maybe go out for a pizza or something.
