My whole life was always discipline. I am twenty right now, and I have no idea what to do with myself or my thoughts. I have friends, don't get me wrong, but of course they have their own lives and I am just there to compliment and listen. My life seems so empty. I have nothing to show for, I have done nothing and I fear it will be my life. I have so many regrets and I keep making them. I don't have anybody to really share this or confide in. I try so hard to be better, but nothing is ever followed through. My heart can't take it anymore. Everyday there is something to stress about. I can never be truly happen. I feel that everything will stay stay the same.

Hi rockie, welcome to PC

I know how you feel ... I often feel the same way. I have lots of amazing friends who I love very much, but I often feel like I'm just an observer in their lives and that I'm not really doing anything with my own. But a lot of those feelings can stem from depression, which is a really convincing liar. Maybe it would be a good idea to do something different -- take up a hobby, join a group or club, take a class ... something to make you feel like you're being more productive or adventurous with your time. It might help dispell some of those feelings that you're just an observer in your own life.

I'm glad you posted. Keep us posted on how you're doing.

hey there, and welcome here rockie.

I just wanted to say that I'm 21... just a year older than you. I've felt very similar to you. What I've started *and only started* to realize is that life really can be what you make of it... 21 or 20 years... we're just babies in so many ways. I consider that I was a kid until only very recently... that those years count as "childhood" , "growth" and "learning". And only recently have we had the chance to go on. There's so much more out there. It's scary, and if you look at the large scheme of things it's so easy to doubt. But there is more, keep reaching for it

(((rockie)))

Did you ever see the movie Rocky ?
It was a movie about a boxer that never gave up .
You have so much to live for and you won't give up either.
Stick around and we'll convince you of that.
You are not alone here at PC .
We are here to listen and support you as best we can.
Take care and good luck
