I know in my heart you are not ugly. There is beauty in all of us.

Like me, you will lose weight when you are ready. How ignorant of them to utter words that are so painful to you. It isn't about getting over it (depression) or about losing weight. It is about knowing who you are from the inside out. This is the most important job in life we all have, especially those of us who suffer depression at any level.

If you see a therapy, be honest and listen. I know many of use don't want to hear what is being said from the other side of the desk or the form the chair opposite from us. But not listening just keeps us mired in our current place, a place most of use do not enjoy. Like your pic, we can continue treading water. If you don't see a therapist, I hope you will find one.

Life is hard work! It is never easy. The objective is to learn from the lessons life brings to us and listen to those who just may be able to provide the answers we are seeking...understanding ourselves from the inside out.

This truly deserves to be highlighted.

Looking over the course of my life, these interrelated things have most influenced my weight:
  • Geographic Location - literally where I am in the world and nearness/remoteness from family; the farther from family the less I weigh.
  • Vocational Situation - the more I earn the less I weigh.
  • Pursuit of Passion - the greater the wholehearted engagement in things I'm doing - whether or not work/school-related - the less I weigh.
Right now I'm a mess.

So here's advice from someone who has no right to give advice: In the long run, your personal investment in finding and pursuing a passion will bring you far greater returns in all areas of your life than obsessing over weight.

All the best to you!

Rohag said: So here's advice from someone who has no right to give advice
We all have thoughts of good advice in our heads and should never consider ourselves as "someone with no right to give advice." Actually it is not advice we should be giving to one another, but pictures of ourselves.

Sharing our lives allows another to feel less alone and may just provide the reader with inspiration to believe in change. Every one who shares their lives in the forum should be and is commended for doing so.

This is what trying to lose weight looks like to me.
I wish I weighed 100 pounds less...ugh!!

Here is knowing you are not alone and that we do care. You are a beautiful person. Know that what others say is not always truth. Inside you are wonderful and caring. No one has the right to judge you.

Sometimes our feelings are based on what others say. When really, they do not know what really lies within you. Weight is something that no one should say anything about. That was not right of them to say anything. I agree that when the time is right you will lose the weight.

Weight does not make the person. Your beauty comes from within and what I have seen of you, you are a beautiful person. Keep posting and know that we do care very much. We are here for you and we are listening.
