I am new to this site and have seen that there are alot of people here that are having the same problems. hopefully there is an end to this feeling and I hope i can find it here.

I feel so lonely, lost, sad, I can't motivate myself, I Sleep all day, I've lost my appetite. These are just a few of the terrible things that i am feeling or are happening to me.

I can't remember any good or fun things that have happened in my life even though I know there were tons of things that used to make me happy. WHY can't I remember them?

I said I sleep all day but yet its not really sleep at all. I go to sleep feeling bad and wake up feeling bad. Sometimes I sleep a half hour at a time and wake up gasping for air. I just want to be able to have a good nights sleep again.

Observation: Depression is a disease of the brain/mind. It skews your perceptions, befuddles your memory, saps your will, and messes with your whole experience of reality.

I have no doubt you're right - there were tons of things that used to make you (and me and us) happy. Depression is blocking our access to those memories, or mangling our memories. Even as I type this, I'm divided. Rationally I know I knew happiness. Emotionally, all the happy memories are dimmed and remote.

Treatment and/or time may restore some and maybe all that has been lost. In my own case, I'm not confident. May that not be the case with you.

I just wanted to leave you smiley faces so you knew I was here, and say that I know what you mean about the sleeping.
Thanks for this!

(((((lost4words)))))) Welcome to PC.
I would seek out professional help. Your local doctor would be a good place to start. I would print out or right down what you have written in your post and share it will them. Your doctor my what to run a test or two to make sure that you are not having some kind of physical problem. They will also be able to point you in the direction of a therapist.

It is important that you eat and drink. I went through not eating also. My therapist told me to put out munchies that I liked with a bottle of water, set them somewhere that you see them. In time you will nibble at your munchies without really paying attention and they will be eaten. It is very important that you eat. Good luck, keep us posted, hugs for your day.

It's okay to feel bad, it's not a nice feeling,
but it does pass.

I know how it feels as do SO many people here,

please always feel free to open up to any one of use,

you WILL come across someone you can really relate too.

I'm sorry you're feeling bad.
Thanks for this!
