I'm feeling numb. I have no desire to do anything after I get home from applying to jobs not that I want to do that either (I go to the campus center to do it so I get out of the house every day). I apply for all these jobs and I don't know when or if they are going to come through at all. I need to be able to make money to pay rent and food and for treatment. But it all has to work around my class schedule. I don't know if I will ever get a job. I got rejected from one for being "too qualified". I just need a job, any job. That is the only one I heard back from. I remember last time I went through this I was so stressed out. Classes start soon so then I will have even less time to apply. I hate it when I feel depressed right before school starts. My brain feels slow and like I can't think. I don't care and I have no motivation. The beginning of the year is always the most stressful for me. I also miss my friends.

Googley- You'll be okay!! I'm 25 and was unemployed for 6 months after I got done college. It stunk, but you know what, the world didn't end!!! All of your worrying isn't doing you any good. Your mind is making all of the problems for you. What I've learned is that there are no "good" or "bad" things in life...it's all your reaction to these events and things. Say you don't get a job for the next year. You'd probably feel real depressed at that thought right? Well suppose after a year of waiting you find the best job ever and you're so happy with your job? Then all that worry would have gone for naught right? There's no need to worry my friend. Things will turn out for the best. It may not SEEM like they will, but they will. You have to just forget about all the worry and smile at your problems. Isn't life supposed to be full of problems? I'm pretty happy in life (well atleast today I am, tomorrow I might be posting on here about how I'm gonna jump off a cliff lol!!) and I'm happy because I learned from my problems. You'll find a job. And if you don't then keep trying and learn along the way....Maybe instead of applying to all of these jobs that you probably wouldn't even want in the first place how about reading a book to make you feel better? Go out and exercise or do something! Don't worry though. You'll be okay and the world isn't going to end. All is well, my friend. Good luck in your job search.

This is a "pattern" for you? How long does this beginning-of-the-year down period usually last?

Keeping you in my thoughts and wishing for perfectly suitable work and successful studies!

Rohag, yes this is a "pattern" for me. Usually it is the first month of school or so. Then I can adjust to all the new stress. This pattern goes back all the way back to elementary school. It isn't so much a problem being that I can still get through the school work, but it messes with everything else also.

Thank you all for the support. I have a job interview on Thursday so hopefully that will work out. <- how I feel about interviews.
Thanks for this!
